Does the City control all parking downtown?
No. Downtown parking includes both City-managed parking and privately owned and operated lots and garages. Each may have its own rates, rules and payment options.
How can I tell the difference between City and private parking?
Look for the signs. Blue City Parking signs with two-digit zone numbers identify City parking. Private lots and garages have their own signage and payment instructions.

When is Paid Parking in Effect?
Paid parking is in effect Tuesday through Saturday. City parking is complimentary on Sundays, Mondays and Federal Holidays.
How Much Will It Cost?
Tuesday – Thursday: $1 per hour
Friday: $1 per hour until 6 p.m., then $1.75 per hour after 6 p.m.
Saturday: $1.75 per hour all day
Jefferson Street Garage: $1.75 per hour at all times (excluding event parking)
Accessible Parking – FREE with disabled placard or plate
Sunday, Monday and Federal Holidays – FREE

Why does the City charge for some parking?
Paid parking helps manage demand for convenient downtown spaces while generating revenue that stays local and supports downtown parking operations, maintenance, technology, beautification, safety and facility improvements.

Is there still free parking downtown?
Yes. More than 60% of City parking remains free, and City parking is free on Sundays, Mondays and all Federal Holidays. There are also specific free parking options for downtown employees and other programs that may fit how you or your customers park.

1. Check to see if a $0 amount owed… it might be just a warning
2. Visit the City’s parking citation information page for payment options, deadlines and other helpful information.

PERMITS & DISCOUNTS
Parking Programs Worth Knowing About.
1. SENIORPASS: Seniors 65+ can park for $10/month. Sign up once, and your license plate serves as your permit. Just park and walk away! (even in the Jefferson St. Garage). 2. LOCAL RESIDENT DISCOUNT: Eligible City residents receive a discount on the regular parking rate. You only pay 75¢ / hour. 3. JEFFERSON PASS An option for those who regularly park in the Jefferson Street Garage. 4. MORE!
MERCHANT VALIDATION
Help make parking part of the customer experience.
As a local business, you can use the PARKMobile Self-Service functionality to pay for guest parking. You will need to have an account with ParkMobile. You will also need the parker’s license plate number (LPN) and their Zone number. Here’s how it works:
1. Sign in to ParkMobile self-service
2. Start a new parking session with parker’s LPN and Zone number
3. Manage an ongoing parking session and apply validation code
4. Visualize discount codes
5.Track your parking history
